WindowsUpdate failed

Hi, I have a problem with one Windows XP Client. I can't install any Windows
Updates. Downloading is OK but installation is failed. Let me post part of
WindowsUpdate.log file with installing Definitions of the Defender is an
example of it:

WU client failed installing updates with error 0x80004002

Hi, have you encounter this error "Download job failed because of
insuficient range support"? This is windows server 2003 machine. It can
detect the updates but when i click install it just like not responding and
later got this error in log.

I would suggest reinstalling the WUA client. You can get it here:

<http://download.windowsupdate.com/v7/windowsupdate/redist/standalone/WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe>

I believe there is a /wuforce flag that will make it reinstall even though it is
already installed:

WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86 /wuforce
