Disabling notifications for WSUS updates

Hi, I have WSUS installed and configured OK. My main issue is that
mulitple groups of users require some kind of admin rights, and that
they now receive notifications concerning updates and reboots. I have
googled and googled and have not found a solution; I've tried some
registry hacks and GPO settings with no luck. Anyone have any ideas?

In case anyone googles this. I entered all the correct setting, but left
AU disabled. I used a free third app to check for updates and force
installs. WUInstall. Now to script the thing for regular reporting to
WSUS....
