I am not getting any computers in my WSUS console. Here is my GPO:

Then here is the update log from a workstation. I stopped the service,
deleted the old log file and then started the service, then I performed a

The 0x800710dd error, when occuring on all desktops, can be caused if the NT
AUTHORITY\Network Service account is not a member of the Users local group on
the WSUS server.

It can also occur if the /clientwebservice virtual directory does not have
anonymous access permissions enabled.

Thanks for the reply. The NETWORK Services account was no in the Built-In
Users group, I added it to that group and tried wuauclt /detectnow on a
workstation and it still does not appear in the console.

Also I checked the /clientservices virtual directory and it does have anon
access enabled.

Here is the new log after checking those settings and adding that NETWORK
Services group.

"NT AUTHORITY\Authenticated Users" that needs to be in the Users

I had a very simular problem with WSUS; error 0x800710DD and HTTP status code
= 401 on ALL my clients! It turned out that someone had changed the password
on the IUSR_SERVER account...

Also I checked the /clientservices virtual directory and it does have anon
access enabled.

Hi

I had a similar probelm with "Reporter failed to upload events with hr =
800710dd."

I had diable the C$, ADMIN$, D$,E$ Shares on the server once I put them back
it WSUS started to work again.

Hi
I had a similar probelm with "Reporter failed to upload events with hr =
800710dd."
I had diable the C$, ADMIN$, D$,E$ Shares on the server once I put them back
it WSUS started to work again.
Ain't it amazing how mucking with SYSTEM configurations and SYSTEM shares
can cause a perfectly good system to quit working!
