Discussion:
WSUS 3.0 clients not updating status
(too old to reply)

I have WSUS installed, and it was working fine for all 350 of my clients.
However, I can't get clients to update status anymore. Updates are getting
downloaded, and installed, and the Windowsupdate.log on the client shows:

2008-01-15 14:44:52:488 1060 c38 Report Uploading 5 events using cached
cookie, reporting URL =
http://xxx.xx.100.54/ReportingWebService/ReportingWebService.asmx
2008-01-15 14:44:52:558 1060 c38 Report Reporter successfully uploaded 5
events.

And the server IIS log shows that it received the Report:

2008-01-15 19:44:51 W3SVC1 xx.xx.100.54 POST
/ReportingWebService/ReportingWebService.asmx - 80 - xx.xx.35.66
Windows-Update-Agent 200 0 0

But the status in my WSUS console shows Not yet reported.

wsusutil.exe says WSUS is working correctly, and I don't see any SQL errors
on that database.
The odd thing is I have a few machines that have an updated status as of
today, and a few every day (maybe 4-5). Settings are set via GPO, and update
detection frequency is set to 6.

any tips on where I can look next, to try and figure out why the update
status isnt showing or updating?

Are the clients cloned? If yes, run this script on each client:

The clients are not cloned. A few of the test ones were just built in the
past week.
