Hi,

I have WSUS installed as part of SCE. My issue is more related to SCE and
the installation of the clients. I can't see a SCE section, is it here?

Thanks

Phil if the question is related to the WSUS functionality of SCE we can
address that issue here.

If it's related to the OpsMgr/ConfMgr functionality of SCE, you might want
to post in the TechNet System Center forums.
There's actually a SCE Forum for Update Managment (Imagine that!), although
I cannot comment on the quality of the forum. I don't currently read/post
there. Of course, now that I've discovered it, I will. :-)

Hi Lawrence,

The quality of that forum compared to here, (due to all the people such as
your good self) is incomparable. I haven't had a single answer yet to some
posts. ;-)

Yeah... I dropped in there right after I posted it, and after I got done
tripping over the bad information, I tried to rectify some of that.

I don't have the bandwidth to regularly check the forum, though. I'll take a
look back today.

As for not responding to posts, that's inexcusable. I know for a fact there
are paid MS Support Engineers who have assigned duties to monitor and
respond in those forums, and while one would hope at least one SCE MVP might
be hanging around, there are certainly a few MS persons that should have
responded.

Well I tend to tread carefully with forums like that. I am always of the
opinion that you shouldn't expect too much when something is FOC to the
user. I pay for MS support as well for the scarier moments. I am often
amazed at the attention to detail on here. It is extremely rare I see a
thread unanswered.

The Netware forums are (were) very good, and when I first started my
migration over to MS AD etc, I worried slightly that the good old Netware
forum would not be replicated here but I needen't have. :-)
