Hello,
i've re-installed WSUS on our server again because it wasn't working properly before. WSUS sees some computers in the network and some it doesn't including my vm windows xp. What steps do I need to take so I can see all the computer in my WSUS then I can approve them for updates.
I have a vm windows xp it shows that it has not yet reported but it is turned on and its my colleagues computer. My vm windows xp it doesn't see at all.
I wondering if it has something to do with group policy since some of the computers are new build in our office and maybe they were not added in the GPO.
If someone can point me to the right direction i would appreciate it.
I've already tried runing wuauclt /detectnow and also gpresult.exe I can't see the computer in the WSUS and I can't see the computer registering to WSUS either
thanks

Click on Client Diagnostics Tool.
Run the client diagnostic tool.
It will tell you what the AU settings are and if they are pointed at the WSUS server.
